The dedicated crew exercising

February 11, 2008

Today the dedicated crew went for another spot-check in the Grimsel area. Since you can never really tell if you might find some powder spots to shoot or not, everybody brought their full equipment with them, including cameras, tripods and snowboards. Because it turned out there wasn't really anything to shoot, today became a hard day of hiking and carrying around many kilos of unnecessary freight up there. Never mind, take it as an exercise...

Congratulations to Gian Simmen

February 8, 2008

At the champs open contest at Crans-Montana, Switzerland, dedicated rider Gian Simmen made it to the second rank. Luckily for him as an old-school halfpipe styler, the halfpipe run amounted 50 percent of the score. This was his opportunity to keep up with the new-school slopestyle kids. Congratulations to Gian's great sucess from all the dedicated crew.

Bad luck in LU-town again...

February 5, 2008

"Mr. Tiraboschi was attending the Lucerne carnival, when he accidentally got struck in the face by a friend of his with a golf club..." That's what the doctor's report says. Anything to superimpose on that?

Sugar-coated Swiss mountains

January 31, 2008

Today in the morning, everybody was stoked about the fresh snow that had fallen during the night. The swiss mountains around Meiringen-Hasliberg looked like sugar-coated under their white powder snow cover, but as it was way too little fresh snow to shoot or ride in it, all the guys hit the dedicated freestyle-park.ch first. They ripped hard, throwing switch backside sevens and nines as well as rodeo sevens. Later in the afternoon, Davide Tiraboschi and Gian-Luca Cavigelli went to the very top of the skiing area to shoot some timelapse footage and to jump a good windlip.

Coming home...

January 28, 2008

It felt kind of like coming home to us, when we went back to the Grimsel pass today, where the dedicated crew had spent one whole week in April 2007. We wanted to check out the snow conditions up there and see if there are any spots to shoot for us. We definitely found loads of windlips, cliffdrops and freeride lines. Now we're looking forward to Thursday's forecast precipitations. And then we will be up there again riding and filming, quicker than you can say "snow".

Back in the backcountry

January 23, 2008

Again, after one day of dumping, the crew hit the Meiringen-Hasliberg backcountry once more today. After adding some height and giving a final shape to those jumps standing about everywhere, Diego Koch did a few drops and Reto Kestenholz brought out his surfing skills by doing laybacks and surf-style deep powder turns.

Shooting at the dedicated freestyle-park.ch

January 21, 2008

As you can find it at its best conditions these days, the guys decided to exceptionally not hit the backcountry but hang out at the dedicated freestyle-park.ch at Meiringen-Hasliberg. Gian-Luca Cavigelli and Diego Koch brought out their sophisticated spin tricks on the big park jump that was in an excellent condition. And despite the 24-hour military surveillance because of the world economic forum in Davos, in the controlled airspace above Meiringen there even was some space left for our stunt monkey Simon "You need to view it from a different angle" Graber.

Second day in the Meiringen-Hasliberg backcountry

January 18, 2008

Even after two days, there was still not quite enough snow and some rocks in the landing, as Diego Koch had to find out after hitting a gap jump with massive airtime in the Meiringen-Hasliberg backcountry. Both of these jumps are now waiting to be hit with better snow conditions. Nevertheless, Alaska-proven guest freerider Ueli Kestenholz found himself a spot for a nice powder spray:

dedicated movie crew launching its filming season

January 16, 2008

Dedicated movie producer Davide Tiraboschi took his boys Roman Marti, Diego Koch and Sebi Rohrer out to Hasliberg mountain the past few days, where they spotted the winter's first possibilities to build powder jumps. After the first few tries it turned out though there was not quite enough powder snow yet, so they prepared the jumps and left them to be ridden later on. During the perfect sunset light conditions they even went shooting some great powder turns. Diego did quite well at both, I think. What do you think? Check it out:

dedicated presenting the latest winter fashion

December 14, 2007

Forget London, Paris, Milano and New York: At the Mountain Music club in Meiringen, the dedicated shop presented the only true catwalk fashion show. Hosted by special guest Karl Lagerfeld, this show was an excellent assistance to those who weren't sure what's hot to wear on the slopes these days. The graceful movements of our smart models showing the latest zimtstern, L1 and Lita Outerwear and eleven snowboarding fashion just had to be persuading everybody in the crowd to go and buy their stuff at the famous dedicated shop in Meiringen. So should you!

The dedicated crew would like to thank the models for their exclusive presentation as well as the Mountain Music club for the opportunity to have such an outstanding event.

"Hunt & Gather" release party at LU-town

September 14, 2007

LU-town was burning alive when the dedicated crew entered the Alcatraz bar which was packed with people who couldn't wait to see our movie. The crew spent a funny night and kept partying till daybreak, though it was kind of a hard night for our Photodude Birri: First he got thrown out of the bar after he had tried to negotiate in his own way about the extremely high-priced beer. Later, he got lost in the streets of LU-town, but soon was spotted again inside a bakery having a chat with the early shift bakers. Finally he even got beaten by some aggressive town kids without even having spoken one single word to them. Bad luck Birri, take it easy...

It's all over now

September 09, 2007

The "Hunt & Gather" release party went down in history last night. The dedicated crew would like to thank you guys who made your way up to Hopflauenen. Everybody else: You definitely did miss the one and only true underground movie release party. For those who had been hunting to watch our movie all year long, it was the time to gather. People were stoked and it seemed they first have to wait a few days before they will be able to fully grasp what they saw last night.

The event cooperation with the KWO worked out perfectly, and once again we have to say thank you to this exemplary company. We also would like to thank all the guys who helped us running the event, from barmaids to wardrobe-dudes to cashiers and more. We're glad it all worked out so well. The last shout-out goes to those checking our website regularly. Stay dedicated and stick with us through one more year.
